I was inspired to paint this by the many patterns I saw in the water, cliff face and green pastures.

The unusual ariel view, and the clear distinction of the white cliffs against the green pastures, contrasting with the blue of the sea speaks to me of early summer. There is also a sense of calmness and peace as you gaze across the land as it meets the sea.
